First things first:
Why do you want a relationship? Thats your first mistake. A woman wants to win your freedom she doesn't want you to be so readily to give it away. You're giving the instant implication that your freedom isn't worth anything.
Who wants to sign up for slavery willingly? lol.. What is it that you gain from a relationship that you couldn't gain from just having a FWB.
A great way to develop passion and motivation to get what you want is to get to the root of WHY it is you want that thing.
So tell me why?
We'll get to the bottom of this.
I think this is kind of unfair. Everyone is the sum of their experiences. If a guy sees his parents happy together and grows up in a great family environment, he may see a bigger value in being in a relationship. A FWB may not provide everything that he's looking for. A guy that doesn't see successful relationships will probably think that being in a relationship is not necessarily a good idea. It's all perspective and experience.
One of the things that I'm a fan of you saying in multiple threads is that when a man leads and when he does a woman's nature will require that she follows (I'm paraphrasing). If he takes that perspective into a relationship, there is no way it would be slavery.
The overall pretense of my post is for him to tell me "why".. You providing him with an answer is not exactly helpful for him to come up with his own understanding of himself. I'm in a relationship, and I'm not saying anything is wrong with it. I just want the guy to understand WHY is it he wants to do what he does. Because without that understanding he's swimming up stream.. Hence the potential reason he's struggling..
If you're ready to settle down and create a family/combine incomes/ have children etc and mimic that which reflects your growing environment thats great. I would encourage that. But I find a lot of 16 year olds on various forums crying about not being able to get relationships when they have no idea why they want one.
Part of leading a woman is knowing where you're taking her, and to know where you're taking her; I'd advise knowing why you're taking her there. That adds to the passion.
But thanks for the call out, I probably needed to clarify.
