If a girl counters your date to just get coffee is it good?

I don't think coffee is a great 1st date at all. She is busy and we met off a quick number close though I did save her from some homeless guy.

So should I counter with I don't drink coffee and ask to do something else or how should I say it in words? Or should I just do coffee then try to get her to go somewhere after

If you don't care much for her tell her you don't do coffee.

I don't drink coffee so I just get whatever I feel like, but I still call it a coffee date and it's quite a good idea.

Nothing wrong with coffee dates. I love em and very often can bounce from th coffee place to another venue easily. If everything goes great there's no reason you can't start at coffee, end up somewhere else then back at your place all on the same day.
