There's a difference between attracted and interested. Trailers exist to get people wanting to see the whole movie.
Without them, you could be investing your time into something entirely mediocre and not know it until you're already there. You don't make that commitment just because the poster looks attractive.

Yes, however being direct means making your intentions clear. It means being flirty, and sending across the message that this is sexual, not platonic.
And no, don't have conversations that lead nowhere. Have conversations that preferably lead to her interested in you.
