Offering ultimatum when getting a number

Just think offering an ultimatum to a girl that seem unsure, is that a bad idea?

Eg bla bla(insert game lines of your choice build up to getting the number, asking for it) then saying can always block me if you don't like me.

See at first glance I though it sounded like "afc" stuff but on the other hand I feel like it gives you like this you're not really bothered what she does approach.

Opinions ?

I'd rather her say "no" upfront rather than trying to sell myself later. It's better for her to genuinely want to give her number to you.

Sounds like a bad idea to me, as jack said.

Or, just keep doing it and see what happens. Bell didnt ask people if a telephone was a bad idea, he built it. Even though most will say its a bad idea, play with it.

Sounds needy. If I had to use it, I would rephrase it like...

"You can block me later if I'm too good to handle / too much of a challenge for you." (With a playful tone, and obviously with the right context and buildup.)

This is stemming from the mentality that you have to convince a woman to give you her number.

The point is to interact with her. To actually show some interest that goes beyond adding another number to your phone.
The point is for her to like you so that she WANTS to give you her number. Wants you to text her. Wants you to meet up again.

If you have to pitch a sale, you're wasting both your time.
