So... What is the best way to recover from previous fuck ups?
Best example I have is restaurant/bar/cafe type venues.
For example, you already know a bartender there, and you have a bad night/bad game with her.
Then, another separate night, you see a hostess you want to meet there, who you don't know or ever spoke to yet at all. Generally I'd approach as normal. But... I can't use a "hey, I'm good friends with "girl" who's a server". "Girl" may have a bad story to tell
about me. Wouldn't work very well.
Basically, I'm looking for the best social proof advice, in not fucking yourself over, in a venue you regularly attend, in the long run.

Also the best way to recover from a fuckup is to not let it affect you. You're not the first nor last to fuckup a conversation with the bartender and she really doesn't give enough of a fuck to make it awkward unless you do.
