I can only go with what you say. You said she was a fuckbuddy that you adore and admitted your game was short term. Once she figures out that she has you that short termed mentality of yours is going to kick in and she's going to go looking for the next guy. If you're happy with how things are now, I'm happy for you. If you don't want her to walk because she's conquered another guy, you'll have to start being a guy that she'll respect. Either way, that's up to you.

Self-doubt is strong in this one. At the crux of it is a lot of shame, I can speculate as to what it is but I won't as it'd be more powerful if it came from you.

This is typical of unhealthy attachments. What happens is a need isn't met, someone withdrawals/pulls-away, and then the other person starts chasing out of fear of losing the connection. The two are then euphoric in reconnecting for the moment and quickly the initial issue is swept under the rug.

I don't know if it's unhealthy. It's pretty great, actually.

But yeah the fear of losing the connection is apparent on both sides.

See this is why I'm being so "fatalistic" as you call it.
