Ok this question is for anyone who has watched vampire diaries. One of the main characters is named Damon Salvator. In the show, he has the "badass" kind of personality, and he seems to work extremely well for him. Do you think any of his traits are good traits to adopt?

No traits are "good to adopt". You have to be yourself. The only problem with that advice is that people giving it rarely realize the person they're giving it to hasn't got the slightest clue as to who "hisself" is in the first place.

Find out who you are and actively work on becoming the best version of that. Don't mimic others, nobody likes a social chameleon.

LOL - it's a TV show, dude. His lines and the reactions to his lines (from girls) are scripted... plus he's a vampire, in the show.

The only trait you need to develop is confidence.

If you're unconfident about acting like him because it isn't natural to who you are it will not be effective. If you are confident and assertive as a geek you will have some success. Stop looking at individual traits and look internally. Without confidence it doesn't matter what you look like or what character traits you have.

How do you develop highself confidence? By pushing beyond your comfort zones and with positive self talk. Confidence development isn't an event, its a process. Like exercising. Just because you don't see results after one week of exercising doesn't mean results aren't in the works after a couple months of consistency.

What you're searching for is courage. All your questions on the forum revolve around your lack of it. You start putting yourself out there, you won't need the ask too many forum questions.

Why do you think the majority of the questions on a Pick Up forum have little to do with actual pick up? because they guys out there approaching are developing the confidence that voids their need to search for much advice.
