A couple of weeks ago I was drinking with some friends and a few girls at a mates place. I showed up, introduced myself and went to talk to my mates. Some time went by and eventually one of the girls asked me to pass her drink to her. It was by my feet and I hesitated, as she was about 2 or so meters away and could have definitely grabbed it herself. A few people were watching and one of her friends said to her "Don't make a big deal of it". I had the feeling that I should have come up with some kind of witty/backhanded comment, but nothing came to mind and being the easy-going guy that I am, I passed the drink to her after a few seconds - the way I would to any other person (providing they weren't being a dick).

Anyway she took the drink, sat back down and then I saw her high five her friend, as if she had accomplished something great.

This is not the first time something like this has happened either. At another mate's drinks a year or 2 ago, I was flirting with this brunette girl (a notorious slut). She was pretty sexy and we seemed to get along - she grabbed my number and asked me to hang out the next day. Some time went by and eventually she asked me for a cigarette. I gave her one without thinking and then I saw her give her girlfriend a kind of sly smile, like she thought she had tricked me or something. She lost interest in me soon after.

The point is, I think women tend to think they can use me or push me around because I am very laid back and more or less a nice guy. My question is, is there anything I can do in these situations to correct this? I am not the most assertive guy, but I would like to know if there is any way to improve my game without using cheesy PUA games or techniques. Some solid, real advice from personal experience would be greatly appreciated.

Don't know what to tell you man. I think you're misinterpreting stuff. It's one thing if she sends you to fetch her a bottle from the kitchen and another thing if she asks for a bottle that in your arms' reach.


As far as the slut goes ,those feed of off attention. I doubt the cigarette had any influence.
