I kind of look likie Zach Braff from Scrubs. I was thinking of an opener like,

That's very stupid if it's not just for fun, because after the opener the girl will be like "ok wtf do you want from me?", you could ask that as a playful question but she first has to know you're talking to her because you like her.

You're in danger of sounding like you're after validation

Why do that ? you need to have your own personality. Don't associate it with anyone else.

Girls tell me I look like the vampire guy from twilight - Edward or whatever - ( Which I deeply , deeply hate and despise). They like that ,I hate it. Simple as that. I am who I am and I dont like / want to be compared with anyone else.

I think it's perfect. As long as you equip yourself with the right tools (i.e. Time Constraints and Roots,) it'll work amazingly.

P.S. I propose validating this with the scientific method--field testing.

I would refer to him as the lead in Scrubs, or Zach Braff from Scrubs. If you didn't mention Scrubs, I would have had to Google who you're talking about.

There are a lot of ways you can turn a celebrity look alike, but I would never open with it. Even if you don't like somebody, saying "Everybody tells me I look like Brad Pitt, but I don't see it! What do you think?" will spark a reaction. Especially if you look absolutely nothing like a person you're comparing yourself to.


Back to Zach Braff:

Could make up a story saying that Zach Braff from Scrubs called you and left you a hateful voicemail, since everyone tells him that he looks like you.

Scrubs producers wanted to hire you for the lead role, but had to settle for your look alike, Zach Braff.

Zach Braff and I won the 2011 Vancouver look-alike contest! Blahblahblah

Make up a playful story and roll with it. It'll be easier to come up with things on the go when you're more comfortable with the girl, which depends on your individual level.
