been in a relationship with a girl for a few years now. Lately though she's losing her mojo. The problem is not really the relationship but her own weight ...

Every conversation seems to steer into that direction, lust is low, clothes don't fit anymore, diets fail, ... . I still think she's great and looks good, but she seems to have lost that idea about herself.... Telling her that's its alright, that she still looks good doesnt really do the trick. Same for doing sports together, she seems to interpret it as a form of charity...

So the question is: how do you motivate a girl and make her feel good about herself when she can visually see the changes on herself (talking abour 15 pounds on a small girl). Would it be wise to seek some professional dietary help and do some dieting together?

Yeah, lead her down the path to dieting. You are the man, give her some guidance. Do more active activities together, this will only help you guys grow closer. Maybe it's an opportunity to branch out, go biking together, go walking, run in the morning, whatever. Take action and help your woman feel good. Also remind her how beautiful she is.

what you're supposed to do is make her feel sexy again and manhandle her and grope her like you mean it constantly. Then make some bull shit excuse like "I want to start living a healthy life, let's eat better and workout together." Dont go to a gym, calisthenics at home or the park will build a better bond and its less agonizing and intimidating than going to the gym for a beginner and it makes a guys muscles for one look more naturally shaped than mutantish and it creates a beach body faster. approach calisthenics like you would a gym. 10 to 15 or even 20 sets per body part and 10 to 25 reps per set. On some exercises I pre exauhst my muscles by going to failure on my first set and decrease rest time. The muscle doesn't know the difference between a 20lb dumbbell or a 25lb dumbbell..if it gets too hard then its heavy enough. use strategy for maximum results, dumbbells and calisthenics make the perfect combination. Eat protein every meal, 4 meals a day and replace sugar mixed with carbs for water(it gets easier, diet drinks aren't always bad news)
Day 1 resistance training
Day 2 some kind of cardio
Day 3 resistance
Day 4 any cardio
Day 5 resistance
Sedentary life style with minimal effort to exercise: go for high fat and the carbs only from vegetables
People that work out: more carbs and low fat.

P.S keep in mind carbs and sodium make you store water but what matters is changing regardless as long as you don't pig out on dressing or mayo. And just don't be too hard on her or mention her weight gain. Deny it she asks. 1 cheat meal a week.

Just tell her she's getting fat. You don't have to be so blunt about it, sugarcoat it if you feel like, but you've been with this girl for years. Encourage her to take up some physical activity. Join her even. Communicate.

White lies encourage bad habits. You protect her feelings but disregard your own, and that's a dangerous compromise to start making. So be honest. She'll be mad at you for 10 minutes but she will love you even more for your honesty.

I remember I had to tell my girl straight up that if she doesn't take care of herself its going to hurt our relationship. I see neglect in her own physical appearance as neglect to her relationship, because part of the reason I liked her in the first place was because she was keeping herself in shape.

You let that go, you let part of me go. So thats a serious thing. And I'll hold no punches. " Baby girl.. You have to keep it together. You're gaining weight. I like for you, and I also like you for the way you looked. I stay the man you met inside and out, so i need you to stay the woman I met".

A month later she had herself into shape.

Now this also depends on her level of sensitivity. I've had girls that were far too sensitive for me to approach in that manner. Every woman won't be responsive to it, but you have to find a way to say something. She'd rather her feelings be hurt than her relationship be destroyed i'm sure.
