I've went out with dudes that drove shit wagons, including Honda and Toyota (if you say so).

The only time I'd care about a guy's car if it's like super duper old and shitty. And even then, if he's driving a shit wagon but he's super confident and acts like it doesn't bother him one bit, I won't even care. But dudes are usually super sensitive about their cars.

Some years ago, I drove an old ass shit car. Some dudes would, no jokes, comment on my car, "That's your car??" like it had 2 heads and 6 legs or something. Plus, where I live, not too many old ass junk cars driving around, so a 20-year-old Toyota obviously stood out like a sore thumb.

I just cant figure out how the hell to date without a car. this is LA, we don't have underground trains here and it is very unusual for anyone to not have a car. if you dont have a car, almost everybody thinks you're retarded.

you're right in that your car model affects you only as much as you let it affect you. that's exactly what I wrote in my original question. for someone who is confident and doesn't give a fuck, their car doesn't affect them. for someone vulnerable like me, the car could make all the difference.
