Hello, all!

Let me explain. I'm a college student at a certain university, and, since I'm in the college environment with lots of students around, I thought of improving my skills.

There are about 3 girls that I intend on targeting.

One is a girl who I actually met before in another class. Recently I spoke with her in the corridor. We actually "came across" each other two times in the area. During the first time, I sort of "chickened out" - or perhaps I simply didn't know what to say. I go back to the corridor and, fortunately, I meet her a second time - this time I am almost instinctive, and ask her if she knows any eating place in the area. We have a simple, extremely quick and basic exchange of words; I ask the question, she says that she doesn't know, I add a few more details, and then I say thanks.

What do you think I should tell this girl next if I see her? Should I tell her that "hey I know you you were my classmate before" or something?

I'm very much a newbie now to these things, so I kind of just stick to asking people random questions about the place. I see it as a way to kind of overcome AA.

The next girl is a classmate of mine. I actually "befriended" her guy friend first & got his contact number. We aren't really close, but we sit next to each other in class all the time. To get to know the girl, I first said "so you know each other?" or something. Then I told him to introduce me to her. And then, I asked for her contact number in a "just in case" vibe, which she did. She writes down the number on the notebook I hand to her. I tell her that I will message her to confirm if it's indeed her number - this actually happens, and she does confirm with a one-word response of acknowledgement in the text.

The problem is, I am the SPAM of the guy, and the girl is on his side, not mine, so that he is between us. I can talk to the guy but I have difficulty speaking to the girl. What suggestions might you give to establish rapport with the girl? I hesitate on sitting beside her because it kind of looks like I'm competing for her attention.

The third girl is just someone I see in the corridor going to a certain class. She might be pretty so I think I might think of something to say to her. I plan on going across her and then saying an opener. What advice might you give on this? What can I say to her as an opener?

Ok guys, I'm a newbie to all these things. Mostly I'm just working on my AA. But I kind of want to establish rapport with the second girl because she's my classmate so she's the most accessible. But it would be fun to get to know and be close to the other two girls as well.

Thanks, everyone!

Regards,
Lonious

Keep it simple!

Go like:

"Hi! What's your name?"

Just do it with a smile :)
