I'm going to this swing dance tomorrow, anyone have any great PUA strategies for dances in paticular? I'm kinda lost on this one.

Well. Swing is right up there with salsa so the kino thing is a deffinite and its exciting. Really good combination, especially if you know what you are doing. Just smile and do your thing.

yea I guess, the last dance it worked really well but I guess in terms of openers I was wondering if anyone had any good ones or any good ways to engage a girl and capture her and possibly set up a date or outing and take it from there? Last time I used a "Can you dance?" as an opener and it was quite effective and she would say "kind of " or " I'm not very good" and then I'd say "well lets see what you got" and take it from there. There were only like 20 girls though and I met all of them through doing this and it went nice but half of them had bf's. Worked out pretty well but I just wanted to see if anyone had anything better or other good ones so I have a variety to choose from.

I've just begun taking ballroom dancing lessons (Swing is a type of ballroom dance if I'm not mistaken).

These old European and early American dancers knew what they were doing, you get more kino and body contact through these movements than from normal club hip pop dancing, if that's believable.

You can talk while you dance, so run some game. It's hard though, you have to keep count in your head when you're new.

If you can talk while you dance...you're doing too many basics.

Actually though, swing dancing is only ballroom in that ballroom dance studios picked it up and created a variation(on east coast swing) called 'jive', which differs a bit from social swing. As for variations...you have east coast swing, west coast swing, jitterbug, lindy hop, and probably a few more I'm forgetting.

Yeah I'm basically starting out in ballroom, so hopefully this won't be a DLV to the girls in there. But I tell myself "who cares, I just wanna have fun". And dancing is fun, no matter how basic it gets.

Sorry to bring this up from the dead, but is there any good way to micro-escalate all the way to a kclose while swing dancing? Most of the time I can't move my right arm to get behind the head, and I don't just want to lunge in. I was thinking of going for it during a dip at the end of a song. Or should I just verbal game it and escalate if I can get her off the dance floor? Any tips would be appreciated.

I saw a vid on this one time... Im thinking style for some reason!?! THough it mightened work in your situation since the girls can already dance. Maybe if you pass it off as something your working on.

Pretty much, get the girl and tell her to dance with you. The idea was/is most girls wont have a clue how to dance, so you tell her the steps as you go along.

Now when you tell her to step left (as in your left) shes going to assume you meant her left (which is to your right)... so then you can push pull with her here. Tell her shes crap, 2 left feet, whatever. Then when your ready to finish you tell her to step forward. So she steps forward (thinking thats what you meant).. and then you step forward at the same time and go in for the kiss.

That MIGHT work for a girl that is brand new, but it won't fly for the more experienced swing dancers. There is also no real way to smoothly micro escalate due to the format of swing dancing: Your either one foot apart, have a hand on the small of her back, or are doing a dip with her (the only viable option I can currently see for a k-close during a swing dance.) You cant really move your hands too much from the standard technique. Should you just save micro-escalation for when you and the women are off the dancefloor?

Swing dancing is more of a social circle game. In order to be more popular I might do all or a combination of these. Take group lessons and also take private lessons to master the basic moves because over and over again people will want to learn the basic moves, especially the newbies who are easier to include in your social circle that the ones who already have ties. Watch new moves on youtube and ask the girl to try it with her. If you find a new girl who doesn't know a basic move, bring a more experienced girl and introduce them and then start using the more experienced one as a model to teach the newer one (the only problem that I have found is that unless the more experienced one is really a friend of mine, she sometimes tries to take over, after all I have indicated that she knows what she's talking about because I am using her expertise, any solution for that ?) Look for swing dance events far from home and carpool with people. The long way to and from the event is a way to bond, find something to eat, and lots of other possibilities. Again, focus on the newbies as the older ones are more established and harder to get to. Finally please break no hearts and do not game innocent virgins if you have no intention of LTR, there are plenty of other ones.
