Hey guys,

I'm 21, soon enrolling in masters course. I met this girl today, through the enrolling process. She is essentially working for a recruitment style company who help students find courses... pretty similar to a school guidance counselor.

I went in get some advice on the matter of courses to apply for, she was incredibly friendly chatty and we got onto the topic films, books and we really seemed quite compatible. She complimented me a few times, and shared some pretty personal matters regarding her past mental health issues(most likely because I'm a clinical psychology undergrad) definitely got the vibe she has low self esteem. In sum, she came off as really friendly, she asked me to email her the names of some of the films I mentioned(IOI, invite?)

So I got her email address.. I felt weird going for the number because it was clearly a very professional setting. I'm thinking of quickly using the excuse to email as a way of escalating.

Tips/ideas on how to escalate but without it triggering her freak out response. Me being a student and her working for the advice service isn't breaking any laws.. I mean she's not my teacher or doctor, but I feel I've gotta take it slower, than if I just met her in a club etc.

What to do?

You shouldn't Mack on your job.

But if you must have a pretext for everything.

Don't shit where you eat. But if you really have to, sexual innuendos are fairly safe and effective in work places.

Should have made this clear. This is at my current University, I asked her about advice for masters degrees. I'll be transferring to another university for this. So in answer to your "don't shit where you eat.." I won't be eating here much longer .
