I know I may not have much clout to provide advice but I think online dating is a completely different game than texting. They typically use online dating to weed out people. My response would be something like "play your cards right and I might be." I love the "play your cards" line.

Thanks for the reply. I am looking for his approach to this reply because it helps others see how to over come this type of response. I agree that text and online are different animals, but if this style will work on text "before/without comfort building" then in theory it should work with online dating as well. I won't know how successful it is until I get some online field testing done.

I'm in a happy relationship so I have no interest in this girl, I just sent this same open to about 25 girls on POF with 6 replies so far which is pretty good results IMO. Quick question...in your lay report all of the exchanges were no more than 4-5 texts each tops. Did they always end where you ended them in the report or do you only post the important texts? Reason I ask is it seems like a lot of texts are either ignored or just left up in the air with no "resolution". Dunno if I should do that or not cuz often times I'm texting for much longer than you do in your advice/lay report threads.

I got pretty lucky with this one because the text exchange where I thought she was giving me a booty call happened on the 3rd time we texted.
