Lets see, most women vote Brad Pitt.

Moral of the story?

Status beats them all.

You are so blinded by your excuses, you can not even read right... Re--read the article, THEY DID NOT KNOW THAT WAS BRAD PITT.

very interesting post thanks.

though i feel that as we obviously do have a skewed perspective, just knowing that rationally a girl prefers X body type might not be enough to override the idea that we might have of what we think is attractive (even though this article suggests differently).

however this isn't all bad as you'll no doubt come across more attractive if you're happy with whatever your body type is! :)
(within reason :P )

Totally agree, i believe in being attractive over ride the whole looks(though everything count, helps and make things easier). My goal with the post was for those guys that are into working out and fitness to have some type of direction or goal of what women kind of find attractive body looking wise base on %.... And to show how what men think of other dudes is pointless...

Yep, nice post, I've read that before somewhere. It's not all that surprising to be honest. Obviously girls don't like excess fat, but a lot of them are freaked out by really big muscles. Even a guy who isn't "big" but has really defined abs are often seen as "weird" - and I'd agree, a really ripped six pack just looks unnatural and not overly welcoming from a female's perspective. You want to aim for around 10-13% body fat, and not even worry too much about the muscle - that's achievable for most people without going overboard on diet or working out. It just needs a reasonably clean diet and some working out on top of that and you can have a body not far off those "ideal" ones on that article.

No more debate? Read Malcolm Gladwell's writing about surveys and you will see that this means nothing. What people say they want when asked and what people actually like in action are different. People don't know what they like until you give them a sample of everything.

Good video- most guys have to realize that just putting yourself out there is already better than what most men are doing.

I'd argue that Gladwell doesn't refute anything from this post. Yes, he assumes that people will go along with the social norm when they have never experienced something, which might be true. It's fallacious to think that just because it's true in some cases, it refutes all studies regarding perception.

Yeah, I think the 10-13 is a level where you can get to without going too overboard on diet and still look pretty good. I think I read Brad Pitt got down to around 4% for some of those Fight Club scenes. That's bordering on unhealthy (we need essential fat) and is almost impossible for normal people to maintain. But it still looks good if you can add a bit of muscle bulk to it!

It really depends on the individual, their genetics and what they can realistically be bothered to maintain. I'm sure we all know those people who eat shit loads of junk and still stay stick thin, whereas I can basically look at a piece of chocolate and put on half a stone! haha. But 10% is a pretty arbitrary figure that I think most men can aspire to just by eating right and working out right but not doing anything too "serious". I would have to be far stricter to get any lower and I just can't really be bothered! If you've got the genetics and/or will power to get down to 8 then good luck man, that's still at healthy levels and with only a bit of muscle definition will look pretty sick!

Lothario - there are pictures there of a range of bodies for them to choose from from soft and podgey to slim and athletic to skinny to body builder freaky. How else can you "give them a sample of everything" if that doesn't? And whilst I acknowledge the point you're making, if you look at those photos I would possibly argue that the choice goes against the social norm. The social norm would generally be a bit more muscley I would say (even for girls' perception of the ideal male body, not just for the male perception of the perfect male body), but there are a few choices on there which see actually quite skinny guys with virtually no muscle on them whatsoever being voted as having some of the fitter bodies.

^ Totally agree... To be honest i have been most of my life between 10%-15%, and I have done pretty well. The point of the post is for those guys that are actively working out, which every seducer should be hitting the gym on a consistent basis, to have some type of direction were they want the body based on women, not based on other dudes... Since as you can see most other dudes are clueless..

As far as genetics go I can call myself rather lucky. My dinner is 2 plates almost every night and I hardly gain any weight! But that's also because the amount of junk food I eat isn't too much (although I can't say no to milk-chocolate).

The lesson you can learn from this article I believe is that working out is good for your success with women as long as it looks natural and healthy. If you got some fat rolls, well work out hard and try to get rid of them.

My friend himself is rather chubby (if I have to guess his fat% it would be around 25-30%) but his GF is (even though I hate rating a girls' looks) HB9. He just has an attractive personality and that's why they are already together for almost a year.

So basically it comes down to this: Look at your best when hitting the gym and your style, but that's only half (maybe less) of the equation, you gotta have an attractive lifestyle and attractive personality as well to hit a high succes rate with the ladies.

Who cares what they want anyway? If you want to change your body do it for yourself. If there is anything that you want to change about your life, then change it. Don't worry about what she thinks. If someone close to you makes you question your personal view, take a step back and figure out if you have the same value, perception, or standard, and live up to it

If you want to be a huge beefy-ass dude. Go do it. Either way, the side-effect of adding to your own personal value is that it gets perceived by others. When you are cool with yourself, others are too. Positive breeds positive. It's the same science behind being in a sexual state. If your frame is stronger than theirs then it doesn't matter.

Girls will fuck you if you are cool with who you are, even if you're fat. If you're fit, and you're still in that ugly duckling mode, then people will not be attracted to you unless they are acting in desperation.
