I know that most of the best PUA's of today have different professions and interests. However, there should be differences. For example, a major in computer science is not the best choice since there are no girls in that kind of majors (9.5/10 students are males) So, maybe a major in psychology where there are 8 girls per each guy would be better. However, it may have its disadvantages to have more women than men because all the girls will recognize you and you could get known as a "player"... So psychology may also not be the best one.
Another important aspect would be the kind of people that get into the career, for example the girls which study to be nuns (I'm exaggerating) may not be as open minded as those chicks that study philosophy.
The case for the job is the same: A photographer may have more access to women (specially hot women) than a web designer...

Your career should be built upon either what you're good at or what you love to do -- ideally both. If it's not, you're not being true to your own interests. If you're not being true to your own interests, you're selling yourself short. If you're selling yourself short, you're not respecting yourself and no enticing woman will respect a man who doesn't respect himself. To ask, "What job is best for meeting women?" seems to me to say, "I'm desperate enough for women that I'm willing to compromise my entire professional life just to meet a lot of them."
You mention computer science as a male-heavy field. That's true. But I think a great woman would be more likely attracted to a guy who's passionate about what he does, than a guy who is bored in psychology and hopelessly hitting on women. What you do matters far less than how you carry yourself and treat other people.
Great women are everywhere, and being a PUA is about having the confidence to attract those women everywhere. In other words, I think you should choose the major and lifestyle YOU want; respect yourself; follow your passions. If you're going into college, there will be women there, my friend. You just have to take a walk, literally, and you'll see them. Besides, I've found that the women in my profession are sometimes the least attractive ones to me; getting involved with someone you see a lot is sticky and I'd rather a woman challenge me with something I don't know. If you know how to attract women and you're proficient in the bedroom, no woman you'd want is going to care whether you're a programmer or a fashion designer.

Go to class to learn.
Pick up outside of class.
It's as easy to get with an IA major as it is with a Psych major.
Doesn't matter what major you are.
If you need constant contact with women, go to a cosmetology school and work at a nail salon. _________________ A morning of awkwardness is far better than a night of loneliness.

You'll still not be attractive when that job is sucking the life out of you because you don't really want to do it, and you only went into it because there would be lots of women/it would look attractive to women.
A lot of courses don't necessarily lead into the job you end up in BUT you should still make your choice of degree based on what you enjoy/what will be useful to you in the future etc.
To be quite honest, your coursemates don't matter too much. There are plenty of other opportunities just by being at university - girls in your accommodation block, in clubs, on campus, in the library etc. etc. In fact, it can be quite awkward getting with girls on your course. I tended to avoid it - there was a large amount of gossip on my course, which I tried to avoid at all costs (both chatting about it and being chatted about; not my scene), so I made sure not to get with any girls on my course, more hassle than it was worth.
Just went out and pulled girls in clubs, accommodation (but not in my actual block/flat), and friends of friends type things.
