Hello, I'm experiencing what I'm sure is a common problem. I have been sleeping with this girl for a couple of weeks now and she is starting to get very clingy and attached. I definitely think shes trying to push me into a relationship, which i'm really not into (pet names, texts me constantly, asking me to meet her friends/relatives, digging for compliments, constant enquiring about what i'm up to when i'm not with her etc). I've been honest with her directly from the start, telling her I have zero interested in anything serious or a relationship. How do I calm this girl down and bring her back to where I want her? Or do I just drop her?

Basically, there's more to maintaining a FWB relationship than just an explicit verbal statement. Yes, that's very important but you need to establish a very specific frame while doing other things to reinforce and maintain that frame.

usually when guys have this problem its because theyre either seeing the girl too often or doing relationship-y things with her. if shes just a FB to you then you need to follow the rules. see her no more than once a week, no sleeping over, basically no non-sex stuff. she comes over, you fuck, she leaves shortly thereafter.

as far as the text messages go, id probably just ignore most of them and occasionally respond to one here and there. obv youre not going to be doing any hanging out and meeting her friends/relatives/etc.

id give it another couple of weeks and if she continues to be too needy and clingy you should probably cut it off in order to not hurt her. just explain to her that you cant give her what she wants right now, so its probably a good idea if you dont see each other anymore.

If u had standards and actually liked this girl for more than sex none of this would be a problem
