Posts: 5 | | I've seen hundreds of Simple Pickup videos, and have read tons of material on the Mystery Method. Mystery says to never open a set displaying your attraction towards them to where the Simple Pickup guys will sometimes open up with pure attraction lines. I'm curious, which is more effective? I feel that making them gain your affection would work better, but Simple Pickup has obvious proof that you don't have to.

Location: North-West Europe | | With the Mystery Method your changes will be bigger. MM is a pretty safe gameplay. And it's also able to use for almost every geek.
For the simplepickup style you have to be a kind of actor. You have to be playfull and be very confident. I admit it's more fun. But the SimplePickup style is not very efficient.

Posts: 2817 | | Mystery Method is more efficient in the sense that you can focus on your target and have a higher chance of success closing them. Simple Pickup techniques work in an environment where there are lots of women (malls, campus, streets), because there's a low initial investment in each set you open, and sheer numbers allow you to eventually close.
Although come to think of it, MM is mainly based on night game, and SPU is based on daygame. That could be a factor too.

Posts: 266 | | Why not apply mystery method to modern pickup. As far as outlining game MM is by far the most comprehensive. He really breaks it down. All the little rules he insist on arn't necessarily true but i find his outline holds true for most pickup.

Posts: 5 | | You all have pretty valid points. I'll have to play around with it and find a blend that best suits me. For situations like malls and such I'll have to use a variation of Simple Pickup. Doubt I'll have the time to invest with everyone in such a rush with the MM.

MYSTERY METHOD: very logical thinking and lots of rules kind of openers
RSD: good vibey feeling charisma vs. congruent in the moment openers
