Definitely. I do agree that I should've held my horses.. I got too excited. Ah.. So you are saying I shouldn't have been all nice and stuff.. I was thinking about saying something else but I was afraid that it would have been a bad timing since she was already in a bad mood and was freaking out.
And thanks for the comments, I def do not take any offense in anyone's attempt to help me improve!
Thanks!!
Girl: FKK I failed my test
Me: Oh? (probably a lot of better responses out there, but atleast this doesn't display you as an AFC)
Girl: I totally failed.. I am drinking by myself at home. (at this point it's obvious that she wants you to come over, make her work for it.)
Girl: Fkkk
Me:.. That's actually quite sad! (doesn't validate her and you don't jump at her first suggestion of coming over.)
Girl: You should come over and drink with me!
Girl: I allready drank 2-3 beers in 30 mins
Me: Ok, I'll join you on one condition. No whining about your test! If I come over, we are going to have an awesome evening with no crying over spilt milk! (at this point you show high value, you don't want to waste your time on something that's not fun for you to do, it also puts a little pressure on her, she now has to prove to you that she can be fun to hang out with. The last thing you do here, is putting up a shield against some of the friendzone traps that can come up. If she talks about ex'es, other guys etc. "Hey, hey! I told you allready, no crying over spilt milk! You didn't think that meant exclusively school now, did you?")
There is probably a hundred other ways to do this, this is just one example. You don't need any canned lines, no preperations, just the right point of view and frames.
And I don't want you to fixate on WHAT I said word for word, but what message I'm bringing forth. How she will react to this, and how this portrays you.
