Well my female wing is a very gorgeous blonde goth babe with tattoos everywhere. Just entering a bar with her gave me huge social proof because no matter where we went she was in the top five for hotties. Usually top 3. People assumed we were bf/gf. So right away every guy in the bar was jealous of me. Many women were jealous of her. We would dance together and get very drunk and flirty with everyone. She is bi which was even better. I'd hit on chicks and tell them to make out with her. About 1/3 of them would. HBs would say isn't that your GF? I'd just reassure them I was there to keep the endless trail of losers away from her. Chicks LOVED that. If you're there with an HB, it shows pre selection to everyone, even if you're not fucking. We were, whatever, best wingwoman ever.

Use them as a wing if they're up for it, but to be honest just being around attractive people can often rub off well on you.

Take, for example, your stereotypical college social cliques. If a decent looking lad was the best looking lad in his 'uncool' clique, he might get a bit of action but not much. If the same decent looking lad was the least attractive person in the 'cool' footballer type crowd, then he'd get a lot more action just because he was in with that crew.

Perhaps this becomes less so when you get slightly older, but certainly at a younger age society in general is often very shallow. If you're with an attractive looking girl, other girls think you've probably got something they want, whether that's looks, sexual prowess or personality.
