So how do you open a set in a really loud environment, where they wont hear what you say unless you breach their personal space?

Going up to girls and grabbing them or approaching from behind is an extremely AFC thing to do. I laugh at guys who do this in clubs, as I always see them get burned! Eye contact is the most important thing - if you stand out and you think they might be interested in you, it's easy to feel as if they are watching you. Most importantly, make sure you're having fun - if you're dancing with the boys, talking to heaps of people, you stand out more.
