not gonna lie, you should probably set up a meet up before the weekend. It helps sets the frame that you are considering spending time with her during the downtime in the week vs the busy life you have in the weekday(even if you don't, hint that you are busy man).

BUT, it does not hurt you too much to text the girl to see what she is up to. Sometimes they don't have plans and might be willing to go out with you. As for phone tagging, you can call her and leave her a funny message acknowledging the phone tag situation and asking for a specific time where you guys can come to a compromise and talk in real time.
