Rumours are being spread around me for the second time running that i am having sex with this girl at work.
She came up to me and was pissed off, saying someone has been saying something.
I didn't overreact and asked who it was and what they said, later on when i had a chance to speak to her again, i said do you want me to have words with the person, and she said "nah its okay". and i left it at that.
Is there a way i could have handled this better ? i would have cracked a joke and lightened the mood, but she seemed to pissed off, and it could have backfired.

Im going to make a few hints about going out somewhere, as i messed up the logistics when i left her the other night, and invited her out on an aquarium date which was stupid, but if i keep it cool it should be good.
