Over the summer I wanted to rejuvante myself and came across pick up. At first, I was intrigued. Watched both seasons of the VH1 series "the pick up artist" and figured I should delve right into this. I'm the type that if I'm going into something, I'm going to the whole 9 yards.

So I began my journey by reading and watching a series of books and videos. I tried everything. Literally, everythiiiiing. Even lurked the boards as an enthusiast. Read the text/neg/opener threads. Also picked up/downloaded

... the end result? I just turned into a massive douche bag. I wasn't picking up these so proclaimed "9's & 10's". I approached nearly over 300 women (while keeping a blog) and over 1000's on POF. I respect David Deangelo a lot, but these for sure as fuck lead to no proclaimed "ladies man"... pfft! Aside from a few cute canned lines, this stuff was pure bullshit.

I credit more to my game buy just living a healthier lifestyle, and enlisting positive emotions into people. I truly did not improve my game until I became 100% confident in my own skin. Unfortunately, my mind is still corrupted with all that shit I read and all the methods I used to follow. Can't get rid of terms like "DHV, NEG!, build attraction, transition to comfort!" ... good grief

I hear exactly what you are saying, I feel somewhat similar, all this indirect shit is retarded. Of course I believe it works if used properly but it's not me.

That is why I am completely direct and myself. I think you would really like RSD if you get into it more, because the philosophy for RSD is just be yourself, in a pure state.

It's simple common tips you've heard for centuries. They just say somethings that are mind blowing.

ie.

Your attraction doesnt matter, when we were cavemen, did they give a shit if they had a pimple or w.e blah blah blah


You dont have to be all fucking high energy like on lsd to get into girls, you can be completely calm if that is who you are, you don't even need to talk to open a girl etc...


Just get your mind away from that lifestyle that is all terms and you will be good.... it took me 3-4 months to get away from some stuff, but now I am better cause I know what works for me, and how to game and get better results

Guys read all the aforementioned stuff and yes, they turn into goofballs because they're convinced somehow who they are is not enough so they add routines and techniques while never truly improving themselves. At the end of the day they put forth a persona that is not even them and the funny thing is most women would be far more receptive to a guy if he were just more genuine. Also keep in mind a lot of the material is written almost exclusively for having one-night stands but do not apply to developing real, long-lasting and meaningful relationships with women.
