Any suggestions on picking up girls of a certain niche or style? I'm just a regular joe with no particular style. (Rock, punk, hip-hop, whatever) But would like to try out picking up girls of a certain niches because i find them interesting. Would you suggest getting the same kind of clothes and start hanging out in the same places or just be yourself? And how do you find them?

Let's say you wanted to pick up a goth girl? Would it require any particular studies in to that subculture before you started approaching them? And should you dress that way too? Anyone tryed picking up girls that are way off their usual style?

you don't have to conform to get in with a girl from a clique, but matching the subculture can certainly help you, if you are for example into scene girls, or punk girls, or chochi girls, or hipsters or what ever, alot of the time they will be attracted to a matching stereo type that falls within the same sub culture, it's not nessicarily but it can earn you brownie points (rocker guys tend to have a fetish for rocker chicks and vice versa)

getting new clothes and go out? yeah sure
or be yourself? what? why can't you get new clothes and go out and still be yourself? what do new clothes and a new venue have to do with who you are?

just go talk to some goth girls dude, you'll figure them out faster by getting to know a few goth girls then by ''studying the subculture'', just immerse yourself instead, dude field test your ideas instead of asking, you can get girls who are a style that doesn't suite you, and you can also specialize, but subculture doesn't nessicarily make or break you, just fitting into a role that a girl find stereotypically attractive can help you intially, just like being good looking can help you initially, personality will vary from girl to girl though reguardless of subculture, it's just an indication of common interests, so if you are into the hipster scene and going around dubstepping or what ever, if you go out and hit up a show with a bunch of hipsters who you share something in common with, you will easily have something to connect on

Ok thanks for the advice, but dressing up to match the style of girl seems a bit fake if you're not really in to that subculture yourself. But on the other hand.

I meant it to be more of an experiment, so do I go all in "pretending" or "acting" to be part of it their comunity, or go with the usual me and which would be most effective? I'm not planning on changing my style permanently because i don't have a thing for any particular style, and don't intend to get any long term contacts and don't want trouble to maintain an illusion. I just want to go where they are, hang out and pick some up for a night.

I get your point of matching their stereotype, but a good pickup artist should be able to get the girl even if he's way off her usual preference? Like if a girl is hooked on, or attracted to muscular shaved guys with tatoo's? You can't really buff up and get lots of tatoos just to get those particular girls at the local motorbike club.

Maybe I'm missing the point of pickups, I'm not interested in picking up just any girl as a number on my list of conquests. I'm after the challenge. ;)

go find out who you are, you care too much about what people think, so much overthinking, just go do it and test out what happens, who cares if someone thinks you are ''acting'' how the fuck do you think those people joined that subculture in the first place? born a hipster? born a goth?

if you don't know who you are or what you like, and you are afraid to try new things, it's going to be hard to finally figure out who you are and what you like, what other people think of you is pretty damn irrelivant, and trend setters don't set trends by giving a shit about doing something different or standing out, they set trends by giving so little of a fuck that they convince people that their way is the ''new thing'', they know what they want, and how to get what they want, self confidence above gaining the approval of the crowd, can't be a leader when you're too busy thinking about the right way to follow

I think you're missing the point. I know exactly who I am and what i like. I'm after some suggestions of what would yeild the best sucess rate besed on a target niche, that is way off my usual style. I'm just wanted some professional opinion by someone who tryed out something similar? What to do, how to dress, what to say, what topics?

For example.... So I'm not a Rocker, but if i decide for one night to go to a rock club to meet some rocker babes because i find them hot. We can't really start talking about music, because we probably like totally different kind of music, and i have no clue what she's saying if she starts namedropping bands.

So what would be more sucessfull, me getting to know some bands before or do i pick other topics and try to evade or simplpy ignore the fact that i'm not a rocker. all i know is that I like her style and I like her looks, her personality or anything else? Help me out here? What to focus on if I'm only there for the night?

that's dependant on you, go test it in the field, one guy can dress like a vampire and get laid like a champ, while another can copy him and not get laid at all, you have to find what works for you

this is why if you want to immerse yourself in the subculture, there's no magic pill, just actually get to know some girls within that subculture and see what they are like and how they act and what social norms they follow, high status is high status, low status is low status, figure out what is ''high status'' in the subculture and do it up, figure out what works for you

go meet girls from that subculture and be willing to fail, because you will, again and again and again, and then you will succeed, and it will happen again, as long as you continue learning and improving

your question is like the equivilent of ''should I learn mystery method?, or just go out and approach direct? what will get me a better success rate?'' there is no proper answer that will guarentee you quick effortless results that will certainly increase your success, different girls are different, and different guys are different, what works for one, will not work for another, just try honesty as your first policy, you are interested in XYZ subculture but you don't know anything about it, why don't you take an interest in the girls you are interested in, instead of trying to impress them by either demonstrating your knowledge of the subculture or trying to hide a lack of it

you can ask them questions about themselves and the subculture, what are their favorite bands? what sort of rocker guys do they go for? etc. girls are not robots, they are all different and if you're going to shows or clubs, guarenteed you will have an abundance to talk to in order to find out more about the scene, can't be a specialist when you don't know shit about what you are specializing in, and there is a big difference between being a scene kid and hitting the scene for a few months and reading some internet articles on scene kids,

you are giving this far too much thought, and if the thought of approaching a girl and not ending up having sex with her is devistating, you got to get over that and just meet girls and immerse yourself in them, there is no way to get good results besides being willing to attempt and fail and repeat that process until you learn and improve
