I understand that calling is far superior to texting, albeit you need both for great success, but I haven't mastered what to discuss or how a phone call should go, how long is it, should I mention a future date, should I lead it towards something etc...

Are there any guides on this.

When calling a female you must be confident first. If you are not sure what to talk to her about make a list. Write it down. Usually when I call a female I tend to ask her about her day. Be more interested in her. My way of seeing this is if you text a girl and it's more than 120 characters leave that for a phone convo. Texting should be short and simple.

Example of a quick phone call:

Me: Hey kiddo, how was your day?
Her: Boring, I didn't do much but just chill.
Me: Damn you're such a bum haha. I'll let you borrow this interesting book I read. So, next time you're bored you can get lost in it.
Her: Shut up! I'm not a bum lol, really? What book is it?
Me: It's called Into the wild by Jack London. It's short and Interesting. If you haven't read it you'll like it. I promise and if you don't like it then Ice cream is on me haha.
Her: Haha okay i'll give it a shot and read it then.
Me: Since we are speaking about books which is your favorite? Wait let me guess... the notebook? haha
Her: No not the notebook it's too cheesy...

You see I asked her day and from the response she gave me I started a convo. In that convo I demonstrated that I am articulate, fun by negging her for being a bum, and indicated that we will see each other by
1) Telling her I will let her borrow the book
2) Ice cream is on me if she doesn't like it.
Lastly, I discovered something about her. She is not a cheesy type of girl which it can help you out planning a date or something.

You just be upbeat, LISTEN that's the most important thing! You can carry a convo just by the answer she gives you. Keep it short 10-15 mins to start and slowly move to 20-30 mins.

The following is Savoy's explanation on phone game (beggining) from his book Magic Bullets (chapter 22)

In the first call, you will probably have to do most of the talking, at least for the first minute or two. Call to tell her about something funny that happened, or to ask her a question. Whatever you do, you have to seize her attention. Your first call with a woman should never go like this:

Her: Hello?
You: Hi, is Julie there?
Her: This is Julie.
You: Hi, it’s Dave. We met at Balboa Park yesterday.
Her: Oh, yeah. Hi.
You: How’s it going?
Her: Not bad, you?
You: Not bad.

You’ve just lost the first eight lines of dialogue – the most important eight lines – dissipating any emotional momentum (see Chapter 4) your first interaction with her could possibly have created. You’ve brought the
energy level down when you needed to raise it up.

Why up? Consider her emotional state. When you met her, she was out, she was probably being social, and she was probably having a good time. In that emotional state, she was interested enough in you to give you her phone number.

Now, when you’re calling her again, you’re calling on your timetable, but not necessarily hers. She may no longer be feeling social and happy and interested in meeting people. She might be miserable or tired or stressed. You need to quickly get her back to how she felt when you mether, while knowing nothing about her current emotional state.

This is why we use callback humor and also take command of the conversation early, to give ourselves and opportunity to put her in a receptive emotional state.
Contrast the bad conversation beginning above to this one:

Her: Hello?
You: Hey, crazy redhead bodyguard [or whatever piece of
callback humor is relevant]…the craziest thing just happened,
I just got back from the gym and I met someone who looked
just like you.
Her: Oh yeah?
You: Yeah, so do you have a twin sister I should know
about? I mean, one of you in the world I could deal with,
but two of you would be too much for one planet. I was
about call NASA to send a rocket to your house to put you
on the moon or something. [playful tone].

Notice that you don’t ask her what she’s doing or how she is. Those questions give
her an easy excuse to give reasons why she can’t be on the phone.

Thanks to both of you, I feel I guess awkward on the phone since I don't do it as frequently as I text and/or just socialize in person, but I want to get better at it. I think lennox you really answered my question (the point of a phone call) I can talk I am not retarded, just always wanted to know what I should strive for and have been using phones as just date setup and stuff... but yea thxs will get to work and try and master it soon so I can help others haha

schibes thanks bro i have their ebook so im familiar with that style of texting/phone game and I have used it before I even learned game but it has taught me some newer stuff great info so good choice of advice for people.
