Say when I'm loooking to approach girls in the day, on the street etc. I will make initial eye contact, I always keep looking so they look away first, should I continue to look at them and wait for them to re-ignite the eye contact, then approach?

If she holds eye contact that is all you need, just go up and be direct. Tell her you thought she was gorgeous and had to flirt with her for the next 5 mins or whatever. Than talk but make sure to keep throwing some sexual innuendos and keep it fun, then either insta-date or get her number.

I've heard that if you make eye contact and the girl looks down directly after she thinks you are attractive, if she looks up she is unattracted to you and if she looks left or right she is indifferent. I just don't care about this kind of stuff, I approach either way regardless of what she does.

I would say don't stare. If you're thinking about something specific like eye contact - which is a bit much to be dwelling on but if you are - one thing i like to do is draw the looks of women with confidence and body language, and then if you see one looking at you out of your peripheral vision, find her eyes and hold them, and give her a look like "I caught you checking me out".

The exchange happens quickly though... honestly subtle things like this are for guys with experience to bullshit about with each other. Start with the bigger picture and get more specific along the way.
