Im kinda new to this stuff and really dont know how to do an ESP reading... can anyone give me a few pointers and help me out abit?

Depends on what you're looking for. If you want to do an ESP trick with a deck of cards, most magic stores sell marked cards that can make you look like you can read minds.

You can always do Mystery's ESP. Ask her, "Do you believe in ESP? YES NO MAYBE WHATEVER "Great, I have a test for you!" "Let me see your hands, and close your eyes!" (Good compliance test) "Don't tell me what it is, but think of a Number from 1-4 quickly, got it?" "3" Don't let her respond to much outside of yes or no. Right away say, "Great, no pick a number from 1-10, and don't tell me, got it?" "7"

Reason you pick 3 & 7.

#3 - 90% of people pick this when forced to do it quickly. People hate choosing 1 &4 just because you said them, and #2 is an obvious choice in the middle.
#7- is picked about 70% of the time.

If you get both right - See positive proof ESP does exist
If you get one right - See you never know what's out there
IF you get none right - I can't believe you believe in those silly things, or I knew you where to smart to fall for that ESP gag.

I've had great fun with this, and get some of that kino in with touching her hands and doing compliance testing by her trusting you with her closing her eyes. Sometimes I'll play with her like, "Clear your mind, breathe through your nose and out your mouth, and just relax." "The I'll make a noise to scare her to be playful. Then I do the trick or routine"

Not exactly what he was talking about -- when Mystery says "1" he throws his hand out to the far left and then when he says "4" he throws his other hand to the far right. Then he snaps his finger 3/4 of the way between the space he made with his hands and says "Got it?"

That's what J and Tripp meant, J's saying he does it so it forces the HB to pick a number quickly, increasing the likelihood of it being 3 or 7. Mystery says the quicker you do this, and the more readily you stack another routine on top of it before giving her your "psychic" answer, the better the results.

one thing i've wondered about that:

if you're facing her, do you snap your fingers where it is on the numberline from YOUR point of view, or HERS?.

I normally get around this by stadning next to her when I do this. but what do you guys do?

this is an excellent ESP routine:

ask the target to 'pick a card' in their mind.

They will almost always think of:
-nine of diamonds
-ace of spades
-queen of hearts
-six of clubs

have each of those cards in a diff pocket in your pants. when they say their card, reveal the card in your pocket.


if they dont choose one of those cards, then just say, "interesting, they say most blondes pick _____. you must be different, here, lets find out" then go in to an actual card trick. my recommendation is Two Card Monte. look it up on google or youtube. excellent trick

Good question. Picture this:
You're standing in front of her, you place your hands in the air at the appropriate positions when you say "1" and "4", then you snap your fingers at the "3" position. She's already got the visual of where YOU set "4" at, so when you snap your fingers at the "3" position, her mind autmoatically processes that. Even if you're standing in front of her.

haha, yeah that makes sense. btw, I did this yesterday , i got ot wrong for guessing the numbers for
1-4
1-10
0-50 and
50-100

oh well, can't get em all

Remember it doesn't matter if she gets them right or wrong. There are eventualities for both. Just matters that you are able to engage the target.

the 1-4 method how i do it was say
okay pick up a number 1 through 4
wait three seconds then snap your fingers loudly they lose their concentration and number you say three
they say how did you know

what your really doing is puttingg the number three in their head the snapping of your fingers is the key they lose their concentration and your suggesting a number confused they accept it

but ill def give jsmooths a try
