Alright, at least this isn't a drive through situation.

HB6 at Burger King, kinda cute, sometimes I get stuff there and talk with her briefly before I leave...have gotten 1 or 2 IOI's just because my energy level is always a little higher than hers and I have good eye contact always.

However, because there are almost always customers in line, I don't have time to run any normal openers (e.g. opinion openers). I've thought about getting her to qualify herself, but that still feels awkward---"hey what do you have going for you more than this delicious double patty cheeseburger?"---so I feel I need some way to transition beforehand.

Is there a solution to this? Keep in mind the 300 pound behemoth is right next to you in line, and he's looking at you like "GET IN MY BELLY!!!"

Any other ideas? Somehow I get the feeling that asking her when her break is sounds kind of AFC.

While you're talking to her hit 2 funny clever negs about her outfit and how she may she probably smells like a Whopper when she goes home. Lean back shake your head in disapproval. *with a grin* Exaggerate your love of beef grease, and when you get the reciept say " Let's continue this chat about burgers again" Look at the pen then look at her. Only reason you wouldn't get the number even if you saw IOI's would be because of LMR. She doesn't want to get in trouble at work, doesn't want people to know your picking her up, etc. Plan B, Push the receipt to her and go sit eat your food. If she doesn't bring you the receipt with the digits on there. Dumb HB,

just say, hey im gonna be accross the street at starbucks (or something like that) for a while, come join me on ur break. say it like you assume shes gonna do it.

The best way to get a real number close with this one is to use a really good hook. Something that will really get her attention, and I think a phone opener would be best in this situation. She has to help out customers so if your phone is giving you problems and you ask for help then she has to do her job. When she's behind the counter playing with your phone move so she has to come out to give you the item back. When she does just tell her thanks in this case try giving her a look to create an IOI. If you get an IOI threw your body language then just ask her to give you her number since she already has your phone in her hand. If you want my cell phone opener PM me.

This just came to my mind. In a joking way tell her you were thinking about getting a job there after you negged her and mentioned that you loved the smell of grease and tell her you might need a refrence on your application for them to call. Perfect opprotunity to get her digits.

Well, went sarging at the mall today and she was the only one I couldn't open. This bumps her up from HB6 to HB7

Me: (Ordering something) Hey, do they give breaks here at Burger King?
HB7: Yeah.
Me: When's your break?
HB7: I took it an hour ago.
Me: Come on, take another one, I want to show you something cool. (I face her sideways and rock out)
HB7: No thanks. (Half smile)
Me: No? Alright but it's really cool.
HB7: (Shakes head)

Analysis: Oh crap, I accidentally skipped A2 and A3 before the bounce lol. I thought I got a couple of IOI's but it's hard running rountines and qualifying her while I'm ordering my burgers!

Any suggestions on how to reinitiate next time? Or did I creep her out too much.

By saying "Come on, take another one", you are sounding AFC. You sound like you're begging. If she took a break already she would'nt be able to take another one anyway.

By saying you "I want to show you something cool", again you sound AFC. Sounds like you are trying too hard to make her take a break she probably wouldn't be able to take anyway.

Remember, you are the prise! She's the one that flips burgers for a living. I would just move on.

If you don't want to move on and give it another try say "I'm gonna come stop by tomorrow to have lunch with you. What time is your break?". By saying this you're not asking her if she will take her break with you. You're assuming she will and you sound confident she will.

Good advice.

Oh well looks like Subway's will be getting my business now.
