Yeah.. I don't really give a shit who thinks the mystery method is bad or good, or the existence of the method eitherway.
I basically need help designed a sort of training plan for myself... and JSmooth you have some good tips there.
I think my best bet to start is practicing opening, only sticking around for a bit to not get it all stale, and closing while my value is still high.
Though.. I don't know where to go from there in terms of expanding.. Is there a sort of 'model' pick up that is based off potential responses? Sort of like a stem diagram that points you in the direction of how to act depending on how long you've been talking to them, if you're getting IOIs or IOD's, etc.
You should close when you feel it's right. Maybe this isn't you but I know a lot of guys who close the set with a # or perhaps a kiss to but could have taken it further. Don't be afraid to stick it out for a while even though things are getting uncomfortable. Realize no pickup is flawless and most have some clunkiness to them so don't buy into this idea of the smoothest pickup ever.
There are so many potential responses in a set from being told to FUCK OFF, to being hit, slapped, or whatever. I don't think such a method could really exist. However, when you become more comfortable in set how you handle each of those will come in its own time through experience regardless of what model you want to use.
How long you have been talking to them is I dare say irrelevant. Some guys will talk to a set for 30 minutes and not isolate or really be out of the initial stages of attraction. Another guy may talk to the same set for 20 minutes, have isolated, kissed, gotten a number, and is on his way home with one of them. It's hard to put a time frame on this stuff.
