Here's the thing: as a male, the longer you wait, the more pressure you feel (typically). There is a certain stigma associated with guys in their 20's who are virgins, and it is not a good one. I rarely think about it. Typically a guy is going to get hung up on his first for a while and think she's "the one", but most of the time she isn't. It is good in a way since the other alternative is to actually find the one you want to be with and it doesn't work out. Not to mention the nagging what if questions that can cause you to screw up a good thing due to lack of experience.

As a general rule it is better off to be with someone you have some feelings for rather than just hooking up. All told losing your V card isn't a big deal.
