I recently started clubbing a lot. I found out that a lot of girls would ask you for cigarette. Heres my typical situation

Hb: hey can I have a cig
Me: no, I use these to pick up girls out here
Hb: oh really how do u do that
Me: trade me your number for the cig

After I get the number it kinda dies from there. I'd text her the second day but not too much interest is shown from the hb.

I know im doin something wrong.
What should I have said in this situation if she ask for cig?

There is only an opener [a good one though :0 ], but further there is nothing!

You didn't neg her or showed some DHV. And still some comfort need to be build.

the reason why the hb did not show any interest is because you didnt make yourself seem interesting to her and didnt show her that you have value. the chick almost definitely gave you a fake number, some girls would do anything to get what they want and they use guys for car rides, cigarettes and drinks. happens alot.

what you could do is make the situation challenging or fun. you could say "Ok. i'll give you a cigarette but you have to answer one question and get it right. Ok?" she'll agree and then you can ask any question you want that challenges her. therefore you can more into a more structured conversation.

you could also learn a magic trick that includes a cigarette as a prop, this will DHV.

Like mickey said just try to make it a bit more engaging. This can be done for things other than just cigarettes aswell (girl asks you for drink for example), one thing I do is get the girl to do something just completely rediculous, like this one girl I remember coming over and demanding my phone number without having met her (she had just done it to like 5 other guys near by who all gave it), so I made her gallop around the bar like a horse yelling "neigh" then still refused to give it so she sat on my lap and stuck her tongue down me throat lol.

Anyway the point of that is that she lost control by not just automatically being given what she wants, now not every girl is gonna gallop like a horse but you get the idea, make her work for it.
