Hey guys, so I messaged this HB (an old friend of mine) over facebook and ended up getting her # plus an invitation to hang out later on in mid-April. Here's the message she sent me back:

"Hey!
I'm super busy up until April 11th... but then I'd be free to catch up I live in downtown Toronto, so let me know if you're ever in the area. My number is ***-***-****."

Here's the twist, this isn't just an old friend, it's a girl I've had a crush on since grade 1, so nerves are definitely playing a factor here lol. Since there's still a month to go before we can hang out, I was wondering what would be best to do in the meantime? I figured I'd start texting her and slowly working my way into her life, but would it be better to wait until later, as in closer to April? Or to start early?

Interested in this topic too, happened something similar to me about some week ago...but not a long term crush just some old friend of mine from 7th grade...

Text once per week. Don't show too much interest or you'll scare her off. The more you text the more likely you are to shoot yourself in the foot and screw it up.

Make her think. 'Why isn't he texting me he doesn't seem keen. All the other guys text me a lot and often why is he acting different.'

I know the feeling and I'm always in the same boat as you when this happens but ideally you want to have other options. 2 or 3 other girls your talking to at the same so you can fall back on those options if your "main" girl doesn't work out. I have yet to get there since you need to be a pretty good pua and I usually have one option at a time but having several will help any oneitis issues and your game in general (get rid of any desperation/neediness ect) and help you recover quicker if your main target doesn't work out and it'll also make you look more attractive to your main target if she finds out your talking (not cheating/dating) to other girls with interest in you since it means she could loose you.

But yea, so in a nutshell talk to other girls and targets if you can. Get other numbers while your waiting for that date, so if it doesn't work out you can move on easily to another girl. Otherwise if you have no other options you'll have to start over if it doesn't work out and find another target over time (days/weeks/months even)nif you have none which makes getting over oneitis and that one girl a little harder and longer, at least for me.
