The difference between those who achieve social success and those who fail is self awareness and a respect for the consequences of his actions to those around him. Those who socially succeed behave in ways that are completely opposite of what is prescribed by the initial post. Do you want your Doctor to disregard the consequences of his actions when he splits your rib cage open? Do you want your pilot to have the same attitude? Politicians, teachers, firemen, even the coffee girl at the local shop . . . it doesn't matter. Anybody who succeeds in their discipline does so because they have a full awareness of the consequences of their actions.

I do not walk up to a girl, slap her on the ass, and tell her, "How much you want for that ass?" - because I know that the consequences for both parties will not be desirable.

I do walk up to a girl and 'break the ice' with a joke/remark, and introduce myself because based on experience, I know that the consequences for both parties are usually good.

I've noticed that most who go the 'fuck it route' are usually imbeciles who've never achieved much in any aspect of their lives. Instead of analyzing the CAUSE of their failures, they simply shut down their emotions ("I don't care whether I fail or not") and proceed to shotgun their idiocy to the World. At best, it's a nuisance to us. At its worst, you do in fact get an axe murder.

panda has it right....want proof? TUCKER MAX....the guy is the biggest asshole around and yet still finishes first...it happens, its life, be an asshole or not thats your decision that you have to live with....granted this is a great discussion but deep down we all know who is right:)

Kasabi, you would have been entirely right if the whole "don't giving a fuck" would be seen throug the perspective of not caring.

That is not the case here. Once again, the "don't giving a fuck" that I'm trying to describe is, as mentioned in my previous reply - not being afraid of the consequences of things.

YES, you still have awareness of the consequences
YES, you still CARE if the consequences lead to something BAD

Which is why ANY stupid action, whether it be the urine guy or the axe murderer - do NOT fit in this situation because it is not what my intended discussion was all about.

We got awareness checked off.
We got -actually caring- checked off.

So once more. . . It is the lack of fear that I am trying to bring out in all of this.

I finally realize the confusion and unnecessary discussion we had to go through because of this misunderstanding. I should have been much more clear with what I was trying to say. It sounds completely wrong.

I still feel that you were extremely rude at some points, I gotta say. Seems to me you came from the attitude of "I'm right and I will do anything to keep the title" instead of the "This is my perspective that I will discuss calmly".

All of this bullshit would have been skipped without the rude comments and metaphorical insults.

Important thing is that everything's resolved though . . .

It's been fun, we should do this again sometime.

This reply helped me because I found some patterns of this behavior in myself.As a matter a fact ,maybe without this community, I would have been like that in 10 years.The root of this attitudes comes down to bad conditioning,I doubt anyone was born saying "fuck the world,i'll do what i want".

But what if you don't know who you are anymore??

Your identity is the first thing you've got to handle. Who are you and what are you doing here? What is your place in this society? In this world?

You need to find yourself before moving on to anything else.

Before actually "applying" all the things you will find on this forum - you gotta have a pretty good description of knowledge of you as a person are basicly. This is just because of the fact that if you don't know who you are or what you do - all these techniques won't be benifial for you - they will only help you get more lost.

Being an asshole is just another way to get lost if you don't know your core value. You have to realise that being an asshole can be dangerous for yourself & for your evironment (those who love you e.a)

Just realise what you are doing before you get into it.
