Sexual tension, I know quite a bit about it but the problem is I dont know the adverse effects.

What I mean is can sexual tension between two "friends" cause arguments? awkwardness? or does sexual tension always cause fun, playful, flirty behaviour?

I have experienced both but the majority of the time it is the former - arguments, awkwardness etc.

If it's awkward at any point or causes arguments (?), you're doing it wrong.

Arguements, bickering, frustration, resentments, bitterness etc are not caused by sexual tension. Those things are caused when someone isn't getting what it is they want and feel they should be.

From both sides? As in when two people take it in turns to argue, bicker, show frustration and resentment - is that sexual tension? i.e. going round in circles.

The reason I ask, as I said, is because ive been on both sides where it was flirty and been where it was bitter etc.

Should there even be sexual tension between two friends? I'd suggest not.

If there is sexual tension, sort it out, and hook up, or walk away.
