I went to a party last night, and tried this trick: I went around talking to all the girls and told them: "I'm terrible with names, but I want to get some practice, so I have a game. And there's a drink in it for you--But wait, there's a catch. You tell me your name, if I forget your name I'll buy you a drink, and if you forget my name you buy me a drink."
The idea is that you get all the girls to remember your name, and also as you walk by, you get girls excitedly shouting out your name, which is great!

And a major DHV.
So far, so good. Then I came across a dumb girl. Next time I saw her, she says "I remembered your name, so you have to buy me a drink now!" I said, no, that wasn't the deal, I said I would buy you a drink if I forgot your name. So we started debating this, and in the end she screamed out "You know what, you're just a cheapskate and I'm not going to talk to you!"
(Oh wait, you're not supposed to talk logic to a girl... )
So anyway, how do you fix something like this? I just said "fine" and walked away, but is there a better way to deal with this? She pretty much ruined my image at the entire party.
Maybe say something like "Yes, don't talk, listen, work on your listening skills", but then I don't want to stick around and argue, and yet I don't want to just accept that she called me a cheapskate.
Any thoughts?
