Is 18 really too old to start learning pick up?

Like, I was really shy in high school. Now I'm trying to get outta my shell. I seem to be a little late because most of the guys (normal non-pua guys) have already had sex and I haven't even kissed a girl yet.

I'm trying to start the newbie mission. Today I went to the mall, and tried to talk to women. Just say hi, but I always wimped out. I found reasons not to. Like, there was this one girl walking somewhat fast. She must be in a hurry. There were also there two HB9s walking to a store. They're way out of my league. They'd probably just ignore me or laughed at me if I said hi.

Never say never, you are relatively young for pua, but this is a good thing, if you get really good in 3 years, you will be pulling girls from the club everyday. Only compare your success with your self, don't pay attention to the other guys.

Your never to old, or too young. The PUA way is looked at as a lifestyle way to much, why not instead, look to take segments from PUA's and build your own game around that.

Be happy, successfull, fun and respectful and you have a great start.

I'm also 18 with VCard intact, but have k-closed quite a few different lasses. :D

You're not too old-if anything you're too young! Neil Strauss (Style) didn't get started until his late 20's or older. (Read 'The Game' if you haven't already)

With regards to going to the mall, I think deliberate day game is a waste of time for people like yourself. Going up to girls just because they are 'hot' will only help with approach anxiety. If I were you, try to focus on sarging at night, preferably somewhere with alcohol to oil up the conversation. People in general are more relaxed at night/being social and looking for fun, whereas during the day people are busy.

Don't worry about not 'coming out of your shell' - some people don't come out of their shell for another 10 years (eg. Strauss). All it takes is a conscious decision to just get out there- DO IT!

Anyway, have some fun with this stuff, remember the basics first (confidence/grooming etc), and most importantly GET IN THE FIELD. Good luck

never too young bro, I'm 18 also I know how you feel, the thing is you just gotta build up your confidence, like imagining yourself with that girls number or something then you just do it. Try a few things out then just pick something that works and stick to it.

yo seriously 18 is young as hell. Just think if you stick with this for a few years how good you will be! Since you are young and have plenty of time ahead of you i would work on the deeper issues instead of just learning techniques. Work on becoming a naturally attractive guy with an interesting lifestyle and by the time you are in your early 20's you will have it made.

Motivating stuff. I'm aiming to be quite the PUA by my early twenties. This should give me a decade or so of fun before I seriously begin to think about 'settling down'.
