I forgot to mention this story. The day of the beer pong tournament, we also took a trip during the day down to San Antonio just to do some of the touristy things down there. It is a 1.5 hr drive from Austin, and halfway there we stopped at a fast food restaurant to eat.
During our meal, a gorgeous HB8.5 sat down behind us alone. I could see her but my friend couldn't, but I leaned to him and said "I really wanna go direct on this girl." He encouraged me to do so, but my heart was beating like crazy and I could feel myself getting short of breath. I had only done the one other direct approach on this trip, and it went terribly because I spoke way too fast and mumbled and did everything else wrong that I could have. As we were getting ready to leave, he went to the bathroom, and I just thought "Fuck it. Let's do this!"
She was facing away from me, so I lightly touched her arm while walking up to her. I spoke very calm and clear this time...
Me: "Hey, this is very forward of me, but I saw you from over there and I had to come and tell you that you are drop dead gorgeous."
HB8.5: (a huge smile spreads across her face) "Well thank you!"
Me: "And actually, I live 1400 miles away from here, so I'm not even going to ask for your phone number or anything...I just wanted to give you the compliment."
HB8.5: (still has a huge smile, like I just completely made her day) "Well thank you, that's so sweet."
Then I just walked away and went to the car. I have to tell you, this was the BIGGEST adrenaline rush I have had since I last went skydiving. It was an amazing feeling to just go for it, and to have her react so positively. I was pumped for a while after that

.
So that brings us to the last night of the trip. We started off on West 6th st, which is more upscale than normal 6th. I tried to get into one bar, because the wing that I met in Texas was working a bootcamp with Adam there, and I wanted to check it out. Unfortunately, I got rejected from the bar because I had an iron cross on my shirt. Apparently they hate graphic T's in that area, because it is mainly young professionals, so I couldn't get in. We decided to head down to normal 6th street where they are much less picky.
We were walking around one bar and I decided to turn this into a game. My NYC buddy is still pretty new and he had AA, so I kept giving him little mini-missions to do. I would show him the clock on my phone and say "You have until 1:13 to open someone." Then I would say "You have until 1:17 to open with kino." And we were progressing from there. This is a great thing to do with a wing, because it is step-by-step and pretty simple stuff. Well, he started having some fun and giving me missions as well.
To be continued...
