I have a close friend who seen me watching parts of the bluprint decoded and it sparked his interest in the whole pua scene. I have known him for years and I have always taken interest in it, but never brought it up too him much. I myself have never been too dedicated to anything in particular, but know a little bit here and there. I have watched many clips of mystery, david deangelo, tyler durden.. But I have never read any particular books in general. I have heard of The Game off and on and know it is referance for many people.

My main question is this.. Does The Game by Neil Strauss have pretty much everything you need?

Does it have all of the terms like PUA, AFC, DHV, DLV, ect.. and explain each one? Does it have good examples of both inner game and outter game? Does it have everything?? I always kind of assumed it was more of an autobiography, but I hope it has similiar. I want my friend to know all of the basics and all of the basics now.. I don't wanna explain to him. All of the terms like I described above I have read through websites but I would like for him too read just through a book and everything there for him without scavenging like I did.

It has most of the terms... but so does this website.

As far as learning about PUA, I'd say it does a pretty good job of that.

As far as teaching you how to get a girl, eh, not so much in my opinion.

The first part of the book has a lot of gaming techniques and such, but the rest of the book is just a story about neil strauss. You could try getting "The rules of the game" Which is a step by step system to help you get a girl. OR the pick up artist by mystery. It has lots of routines and such in it.

In the back of the book (last few pages), it contains most of the terms in the PU community.

The book itself is very inspiring (autobiography, yes) and it will drive you forward to the will in learning the arts.

I recommend it, indeed.

This book doesn't really explains nothing it's a very inspiring very well written book

I'll recommend it any day... it's good, it doesn't teach you but makes you want to learn

The Game was a good book. There are some lines and tips strewn throughout it, most terms you will learn through it, and see it used frequently.

Yeah these guys are right. It will definitely make you want to learn more about PUA, but it won't teach you much.

Very Very good book

the book to me was more about inspiration, the inspiration to go and say i can do that rather then just a book of pua techniques, if you want a more technique orientated strauss book try the rules of the game,

I actually found the book very depressing when I first read it... I didn't want to believe women (even people) could so easily be manipulated. I didn't like hearing that women with boyfriends were easier to game. Overall it pretty much makes everyone look like crap...

But it still did lead me into this PUA stuff, and it has helped improve my chances with women... so it's not all bad. More that I wish people were better than that The Game is wrong.

Life's a game... and the point to call it a game is to make it easier and enjoyable

first off all, girls are players, and if we can't learn how to play are chances are slim

beside... it's a two (or more if ur lucky) players game

I didn't say the Game was wrong, I said people should be better. Games shouldn't be necessary for both parties to get what they want anyway.

Nothing has "everything" but The Game is an ingenious book and a great start. The Game isn't about actually playing games in relationships, it just makes you aware and more conscious of the social interactions around you and why people act in a certain way.
