The conversation lasted only because she was nice and he was friends with my wing that she knew. Non of the negs were beneficial and are only counterproductive to the dude's goal. It was a total turn off for her, and at some point the conversation has become hostile between them.

People don't know how to neg properly.

I think most people see them as a magic bullet for attraction. Then go and sprayyyyyyyy a chick up with a shower of lead neg-bullets.

People shouldn't neg if they don't know how to do it. If you go around insulting people, you need a slap. Negging is fine and very effective if done correctly.

As the guy above me mentioned - they're only backhanded compliments. The goal of the neg is to get the target to LAUGH. If she doesn't laugh - you didn't neg her. You probably insulted her or made a fool of yourself.

However, she won't become all serious and like "omg omg I gotta get out of here!!" (depending on how high-valued women you're gaming of course): She will cover her embarassment and pathetically try to cover it up by for example giggling or smiling.

Negging is pretty effective, depending on how you use it. I prefer to refer to negs as playful teasing. When you take negs too far, as in actually insulting the girl, it brings a sense of negativity in the air. But if you use it in a way that is playful and not insulting, making sure she is laughing or atleast engaged. Its worked great for me.

Actually it wont. I never liked this neg because it is too strong, too lame. Whoever would complain about a girl spitting on him, its like, you dont comment on that kind of things. A more effective way is to wipe your cheek and making it look like you dont want her to see.
