I ask because I do not think I am a bad looking guy, but I do have a problem with my hair. I am nineteen and have a receding hairline...big time. I have remedied this situation by wearing a fedora when I go out (which I suppose is a bit of peacocking as well), but I am afraid if I meet someone with my hat on, they will not be attracted to me with my hat off. How much of the game is looks?
You may not know this but Burt Reynolds was once the biggest movie star in the world-his career was mangled by a dreadful attempt to cover a receding hairline.
Contrast this with Bruce Willis, who similarly began to lose his hair at an almost identical point in his career. He simply shaved it the to the scalp to look natural. He also bulked up, which a shaved head emphasizes. His career if anything took off after that point.
In "The Game" Mystery advises Strauss to do the same thing "A shaved head is a choice, balding isn't".
An additional point: chicks absolutely love touching a shaved head.
Finally, you are worrying way too much about looks. You have to remember a lot of the edge good-looking guys have is down to the self-confidence the looks generate, not the looks themselves.
