Interesting fact: humans are the only animals which follow gaze or even a pointed finger. What do I mean? When you point over there to your dog, he will look at your finger, not where you're pointing.
not true.

Most dogs follow the point, and then upon not seeing anything of interest return to the finger.

I know some dogs i can just make a soft pointing gesture (like not totally obvious) and say 'go' very casually (not like an order) and they'll just listen and walk over there.

Really? Well Steven Fry said it on QI so I assumed it was true. My point about us being attuned to the social context around us still stands regardless though.

This is a different processing system.

Just that it's worked for you doesn't make it a fact.

Blondguy is right.

I am going to try to control the illusion of seperation. I will notice when I need to talk to her because of fear, instead of pleasure.
What?

No.

Look, man. You need a complete reprogramming of how your thought processes are structured as a whole. Your ego will definitely fight me on this, but just tune out your ego and listen.

"If you keep doing what you've been doing, you'll keep getting what you've been getting"

If you keep thinking the way that you've been thinking, you'll also get the same result.

Trust me on this. Drop that plan of yours and focus on solving the problem at the ROOT by DESTROYING your ego. I know that you do not currently understand the connection between ego and the illusion of separation, but just trust me and do it, and eventually you WILL see.

Also, stop trying to control things and JUST LET GO. Look up the concept of Wu Wei in Taoism. It will make absolutely no sense at first, but just ruminate over it for a while.

Next, look up zazen meditation and start doing that for 5 minutes a day. It will actually change structures in your brain on a PHYSICAL level so that it may work in a more effective fashion for your current needs.

Wax on, wax off.

um, his was a universal constant.

I provided evidence that the constant was not universal, and in fact, isn't even that common.

It is past that of common.

Trust me on this.
And those two sentences are the best summary, of what the Game is about, that i think ive seen in 2 and a half years of the Game!

It is the ethos that got me into the Game and its the ethos that gets me better. Its exactly why im now following PUA DJ FUji's advice which is "If your comfortable then you are not learning" Without a changed mindset and a changed way of life you will be stuck in the monotonus daily drawl that you have always lived.

To back it up i also found an interesting quote in the Adonis Effect that states;

“You have to DESERVE what you want”
This whole “get what you deserve mentality” is utterly useless.
It implies getting before giving… that you’re “owed” something in life....

You need to work for everything and if what your doing doesnt work you need to change

Regards Saint

You can't actually destroy your ego, but taming it involves the same process as a form of deconstruction (like destruction).

I use the word "destruction" in terms of taming your ego because that's what it FEELS like rather than what it actually is.

Your ego is the thing that motivates you to stay in your comfort zone. It's the thing that tells you "Hey, you're good enough, so there's no need to improve!" It will even go so far as to tell you that you are better than other people (illusion of separation) when in fact, everyone is on an equal plane.

The key to fighting your ego is discomfort. Check this out: self-destruction-is-the-magic-bullet-vt54173.html

Dont you think you are better than other people? You posted so much more and have learned so much. When someone disagrees with you do you take there word over your own?

Why does "more" have to equate to "better?"

"More" has nothing to do with enlightenment. When someone disagrees with me, I usually remind myself that they most likely had a good reason for having the view that they had.

This is why I was against banning you for just having a different opinion from so many people here.

Dogs don't follow the point...if you slowly raise your hand and point at something the dog will look at your hand. If you do it quickly it will look in the direction you raised you hand. this isn't because it's following your point its because it thinks you've thrown something.

Lucky

Thank a lot for not banning me. I must admit you having the power to ban me makes me uncomfortable.

I understand what you are saying. And I appreciate your advice. If my ego is getting in the way it is probably in the way you assert domiance over my opinion and tie it into your soultion. I used to be at ground 0 about two years ago. And I was incredibly motivated. Through my experiences I have grown tremendously. Now I am comfortable with who I am. I wan't to listen and head your advice, but I am weary of it being a soultion that applies to other people. I don't want you to think I am aruging with you, I do want to get to dialog and understand why you think I need this guidance. I don't want you to think that I DONT trust you. Although I would like to make my own decisions with your help.
