Talking about dating is not wierd in it's slightest, unless it is a particularly religious culture.

The only people I actively try to hide this from are my mother and sister.
With everyone else I know, I'm proud to say I'm taking action to make my life better. Since starting this I've taken it upon myself to start working out regularly, eat healthier (more fruit etc), constantly keep myself presented as best I can, learn to drive (I'm 1 or 2 lessons away from doing my test) become more confident and effectively learn to like myself.
Coming across this community is changing/has changed my life and it keeps getting better day by day, week by week, month by month.

The real question is, why would I want to hide this amazing thing from people? I wouldn't! The only reason I keep it from my mother and sister is because they get all weird about it when I mention women.

The idea of the pickup artist has been around for longer than most of your parents have been alive.

Eddie Haskell, The Sweathogs, a 45 year old Frenchman around a 15 year old girl, and Larry Dallas are all classic examples of sterotypical PUA's. I won't even get into the Rat Pack movies and specials.

In fact, i've tried to talk about that before with some people, and I dont have noticed any good feedback, anyway, my young sister and my cousin starts to laugh when they pick me reading a seduction book for the first time.

For some reason, seems to everyone (specialy ladies) that youre more attractive and least "ridiculous" if you just are naturally charming, as a part of you, not something youve learned reading books or through self development.

Im not inclinated to put that on risk (the reputations that im REbuilding after long years as a freak AFC), and I dont see any advantage on tell that for others, except for my closest friends, if they are interested. Yet I always open my mouth and talks more than Im supposed to talk.

When Im turned into a real PUA (I might this will spend two-three years from now of my life, since I was in community for one year) I hope I will have no problem to talk about that.

To strangers, no, i like to challenge myself. plus, nobody ever believes you anyway when you say 'i'm a professional pickup artist' (unless they're one themselves), other people who kinda know me think I still work as a barman in the evenings.

I only told one friend about it and he had to go tell every person he knew. So my interests in PU are known to all my friends family and neighbors, but they only see it as a joke (HA! he has to read a book on how to get girls! Ha ha ha!)

to me the solutions simple. you'ra all worrying about something irrelevant. it doesnt amtter if everyone knows about it or not. if you have good skills youll be fine.

the key is how you present yourself. get creative and original and it wont appear like you're using canned lines or trying to pick up. the only people who will struggle if more and more people know are the ones who function as social robots, coming on here vigorously copying down notes and then regurjitating some1 elses methods.

get your own styles and methods and lines etc and ull be fine.
