Is it just a bad idea to try and pick up girls when you are out with friends? I understand that especially if you are with girls it CAN help but just wondered if people think it is better to just go out with a wing. I have never gone out to a pub on my own YET! Any thoughts on this would be great, I find it difficut to pull when out with friends unless we are all drunk (then no one cares what is going on haha)

If I got a group of five I'm with I try to make sure I sarge, you have a caravan of social proof. You just have to make sure you are the alpha of your group. Then go from there. I've actually pulled some nice closes while having non-pua friends in tow. Utilize your assets.

I'm over 30 and all my friends are married with kids and the couple that aren't think it's lame to use any scripted conversations, so I've been on my own this whole time. I don't think you could do things with buddies if they had no clue, they'd inevitably ruin your timing.
I think it's ok to go alone though, it just kind of starts you off with less social value when you walk into a place all by yourself. Kind of sucks to make false time constraints, but I've found ways around it. (cell phones have alarms or you might have to call someone in 10 minutes to help them find the place)
I think the big thing is it's better to have friends around to hang out, interrupt sets, work in for the other HBs in the group and work game on all of em at once.
I guess it's probably better to go it alone though from an experience standpoint, if you are doing things on your own, you HAVE to have the confidence and courage, there's no crutch of your buddies pushing you. So you live and die by your own actions which is probably the faster way to go about mastering things. _________________

This just ruins the sarging for me, so i have one wingman now i go sarging with or on my own

During the week, unless I'm with a really, really cool client, I'm forced to go solo.

We also have this unspoken but all agreed upon rule of not messing with another guy if he is making progress with an HB. Another benefit for me is that typically I can make one of them an instant wing in case I need an obstacle removed. Thats just another unspoken agreement we have always had.
