For example, I was just talking to this girl on the phone earlier and I was saying lots of c&f stuff, and she said "you're so cute I wish I was there to pinch you on the cheek." Is that attraction or does that mean she's friendzoning me? When I hear "cute" I think of puppies, kittens and babies. Women are supposed to be only attracted to alpha male guys, right? So how exactly do those two intersect?

i have had this happen a few times, its defenitly a negitave indicator. your not landing her attraction. your are in huge risk of LJBF. as far as a solution, the only thing that worked with me was to rethink the girl, find where i made a flaw in assuming her personality and corerect it. but yeah your in danger of ljbf, you should Kclose her or use NLP on her to change your worth in her mind

Well...I actually already f-closed the aforementioned girl, so I've definitely got the attraction. And another girl who was making out with me and trying to seduce me at a party last weekend was also telling me about how "cute" she thought I was. So I guess what I'm really asking about is how "cute" can equal "attractive" in the female mind. Or, what's the difference between "cute" and "hot?"

I used to be totally confused about this too. I'd have girls tell me that I'm cute and I'd say something like "I'd normally take offense to that comment, but I'd let it slide this time" trying to be a little cocky and funny. I always got weird reactions from it though, almost like I'd just slapped them and I never really understood why. I figured that cute was a LJBF thing and they were almost patronizing me like you said. I was SO wrong though!

Sean Messenger sent out an email that explained this really well, but I think I accidentally deleted it. To sum it up, basically when a girl says "cute" it's like when a guy says a girl is "hot". Girls typically don't say, "So, is he hot?" when they are talking to their friends, but they will ask if he's "cute". If a girl tells you you're cute, then she's basically saying that she thinks you're hot and you should treat it as such, so you don't want to do any kind of disqualifiers or anything negative because that's punishing her for treating you good.

Thanks Rye. Here's what I said (so it must be true! ;)

===

"Cute" is the ultimate, catch-all compliment in woman-world. Things they love are all "cute." There's nothing non-sexual or derogatory or whatever about it. Women don't really give men verbal compliments very much, and when they talk about a guy they like, that's always the question.

"Is he cute?"

They say it to themselves like we talk about women, with the one question we have.

"Is she hot?"

So to answer your question, when a woman says "you're cute," she means, "you're hot."

Got it, chief?

How do you get out of the cute stage? Act like a real man. Don't smile every five seconds. Don't be Mr. Funny (because you are not). Find passions outside of "chicks". Love yourself more than you love any broad. That will change a cute guy into a sex bomb.

Remember, cute is death.

Don't mix cute with hot. There is no Female -> Male translator.

But I find cute is more of a friendsy thing, I certainly don't categorize the word in relation to "hot".

Cute CAN mean hot.. i mean i got approached at work by a girl who said "hey, my friends dared me to come speak to you because i thought you are CUTE and i want your number"... some girls dont want to infer that there being sexual, so they may say cute just as we'd say to a girl "hey, i saw you from over there and i thought u were adorable so i just had to come over and see what your about". i think more then looking into the word cute, you should think more about the context its being used in. i think that while you should be an alpha male.. and that should be what you strive for, its ok to have mannerisms they think are cute.. its endearing.. its human, and having some endearing "cuteness" mixed with a good dose of alpha should really work well for someone who can get that balance.

Cute doesn't translate directly into hot, but it is the equivalent. Girls will say hot when they mean hot, but they generally aren't looking for a "hot" guy, they're looking for the "cute" guy.

I think you are wayyy off on this. I was recently on a 3rd date with a girl I already f-closed and she kept saying that I was soo cute.

And about the Mr. Funny, in my opinion Mr. Funny gets laid way more than Mr. Sexbomb (aka Mr. TryingToHard).

Get a girl to laugh and shes yours.
