Hey guys, first post
Some quick background first. I'm still pretty AFC at the moment, and a virgin. Over the last few years I've been becoming more confident, but I still have issues with approaching girls, and especially talking. I'm not much of a talker at the best of times, and I hate sitting around when I go out (I work in animation. I have to sit in front of a computer all day!).
Which is why I like going to clubs. I'm a pretty terrible dancer I'd say, but I do enjoy dancing. I got the side to side swaying to the beat down, and can generally stay on the beat. The only time I've ever K-closed some one I didn't know to well, was at a crazy new year's party at a club which I was having a blast at and was really psyched for. So I'm thinking to develop my dance floor game, as going crazy on the dance floor is fun, especially with beautiful women! That's why i'd like some advice from you guys.
1.) Going out: Do you guys go to clubs alone, or with friends? None of my friends like going to clubs much, and when they do it's usually quite awkward and my energy levels plummet and I stop having a good time. Sometimes I feel a bit self-concious when I'm with my mates, as I'm afraid to get rejected or do something stupid in front of them.
I'm afraid to go out alone though, as I feel it might look a bit weird to just be jamming alone. On the other hand, usually when I'm alone is when the more interesting things happen. Is it advisable to go alone, or is it better to be with some friends because of stuff like social proof, or do you just look weird being alone on the dance floor?
2.) Being the first on the floor: This ties in with the top one. Juice24, are you the first on the floor only if you are with a group of friends, or do you do it alone?
3.) Actual approach: Does the poking thing or hip checking work even if you haven't gotten any clear IOI's? What if they clearly move to be closer to your group, but don't make EC, and dance facing away from you? Is their any way to tell if they are IOIing you, or if the IOI is for one of your mates (Or do they IOI groups of guys?)?
