So yesterday my brother and his gf had a baby girl. He sent me a picture and I asked her name. He said "we havent been able to pick a name yet... but I think she (his gf) is going to let me pick it....U have any ideas" I sat down and was like...Wow that would be a great opener and/or a follow up txt after a number close and/or to strike up a convo with a hb that has faded away for a while....So check it out:

PUA: "hey let me get your opinion on something"

PUA: "I cant stay long so its gonna have to be quick"

HB: "um...ok"

PUA: "so my brother and his gf just had a baby yesterday and they haven't been able to pick a name for her. Got any ideas??......Maybe you could be the one to name her...."

HB: [responds with all sorts of names she has been dreaming of since she was a little girl and dreaming of having her own babys]

PUA: "here send them to me in a txt and I'll forward them to my bro and see what he says"

HB: "ok" [give her your number hold your phone open looking down at it as if you are waiting to recieve the message]

PUA: [Go into a different routine]

Before you leave:
PUA: "well I have to go now, but I'll text you later to let you know if one of your names is a winner" [this gives you a valid reason to get ahold of her again without being that creepy guy who got her number under the radar just to bother her]

Note: I used this as soon as my bro sent me the txt asking if I had any ideas. I sent a txt to about 15 girls, some new who I had never spoke to since the number close, and some who I already knew for a while but had quit talking to. I GOT A HUGE RESPONSE FROM EVERY GIRL I SENT THE TXT TO! Actually, almost every girl sent me a txt with a bunch of names and every one included their own name as a choice while mentioning how cute it was. This creates a perfect oportunity to neg her. I responded with ahh...I dont know about [whatever her name is] its kinda bland, but i'll run it by him and let him choose. After a little more playful back and forth I had plans with every girl I sent the message to...GIRLS LOVE BABY TALK AND THEY WILL RESPOND, probably more than you want. It works!

PS: My brother choose one of the names I forwarded to him. So...I sent the girl who picked the name a txt saying she won! he picked her name...And she freaked...I then said "we'll have to get together tonight and celebrate". Which we did!!!

As far as opinion openers go its perfect. Satus quo.

Is it just me or does anyone else think that opinion openers are cliched and outdated? They have been around for so long and are so widely used. Its getting to the point now where the jig is up; chicks are aware and know exactly whats going on. I stopped using opinion openers a year ago after several incidents where I got called out on them ("Is that from that book "The Game"??). But its not only that, every guy is using them, girls have heard the exact yarn time and time again. Additionally, I think they are inherently flawed for use in a loud bar envronment as they are too long winded, but thats a different rant altogether.

The point is that chicks are evolving and wising to our ways. Our game needs to evolve also. We can't continue to use the same old techniques as they lose their effeiciency when they become more widely circulated.

Anyways this is just my opinion but I think that there are other types of openers that are more virisitile and original that will probably yeild more success then the old gaurd. And alot of the ideas have been advocated on this board. I am working on some of my own and once they have been perfected you better believe they will be shared on here. But there was one that really impressed me that I saw performed by the PUA Cajun: he walks behind a chick and says "I'm not following you, I just happen to be walking in the same direction." Pure genius. And thats what we need more of. As a community we need to evolve. We need to come up with the new generation of openers that will do everything that opinion openers did in their hayday. Instead of simply adopting what the likes of Style and Mystery have laid out for us we need to be developing the new generation of strategies and openers.

Anyways, I'm just a product of my environment. You might not have the same issues with opinion openers that I have developed. Personally I dont use them cause they no longer work efficiently. In any case take my rant with a gran of salt. And no offence whatsever is intended to the author of this thread; I respect the fact that you are thinking and contributing. Lets continue that positive SPAM of creativity but take it to the next level by fostering entirely new levels of thought and design.

But still, no reason you have to used the same canned ones, make up your own. Asking a girl's opinion will always be a valid tactic in PU. And if they are keyin in on your phrasing, just change it. Dont walk in and open with "Hey guys, I need a female opinion.." Slip it in more subtly (tho i suppose it wouldnt be an opening anymore, just a good routine).

At any rate, there are millions of girls out there and no, not all of them are onto us. And even if they did all catch on, in a few years there would be a fresh batch and the smart girls would be like an old fad..

I think allot of the problem with opinion openers is that most of the time people start with "I need a female opinion....." I think that right there is the main problem, it just needs rewording. "I need an unbiased perspective" or something like that could be used instead, "I need a womans view" whatever, I think that if you take out the words female and opinion being called out on will become less frequent.
As for the OP I love it! Handy for me as I have 3 mates that have all just found out they got their girlfriends pregnant, so I won't neccersarily be spouting BS lol.
