Hey what's up guys? This is a question i've been thinking about for awhile now and i finally asked some friends yesterday who i think didn't understand the question and went right over their heads.

I guess the question started out by thinking of the philosophies of direct game vs indirect. Short and sweet....direct is a more instinctual/primitive way /aggressive way of going for what you want, and indirect feels more so not really a game of wit, but just a more "socially acceptable" way of doing things.

Direct seems to me to be more brain/freud's ID
Indirect is more so superego/ego/(game of strategy)

Since i believe we have evolved from animals, and all this talk about alphaness, dominance, leader of the pack, etc seems to all relate to woman's instilled desires for these traits.

In the animal kingdom, the alpha male will literally go to the female and take her, sometimes with brute force. I've read a story in the book Sperm Wars about how "rape" scenes turn on both sexes because of the physical struggle that occurs alongside with lust/intense emotions. A boy really wanted a girl and was very aggressive with her, and she also wanted him but felt she had to give physical resistance to weed out the alpha from the beta. (subconsciously)

My question isn't should we rape a girl or manipulate her with mind tricks. Is the act of being more physical(a lot of caressing,touching)/obvious sexual attraction(very intense eye contact, touching ass, tits) basically in a very overt way in which the female party knows you're sexual lust for her and your courage/confidence in giving in to all your ID's desires, not strategize in how to get them in the future. '

Or is the act of being very verbal, imaginative, subtle, mysterious, inconsistent, ..basically not obvious in your lust...a MORE powerful way for humans? Or are we still MOSTLY our ID/animalistic form?

What do you guys think? This is a good case of direct VS indirect....my problem was that i didn't feel congruent in wanting a girl and then playing games/negging/trying to DHV/etc and not just straight up showing my lustful desires for the girl. Granted i love conversation and getting to know someone....but the difference between a intellectual relationship with a guy and a girl is the fact that you can also bang the shit out of the girl just like you're dogs are doing.

In the animal kingdom, alphamales are typically bigger, more aggressive with higher levels of testosterone, and have certain dominant physical characteristics that attract females.

So if you're "gifted" in this way, you will be much more successful using direct game methods on women you approach. By gifted, I mean either have the body language and build to back this up, or have studied it and can effect it with what you've got. Basically, with direct game you state your intent right away, causing an immediate evaluation of your value by the woman, and since your attitude is congruent with your body language you will generate attraction right away. Very simple, very effective, but not easy to pull off---you must be congruent and you must have the balls to drop lines that separate the men from the boys.

Indirect game on the other hand involves flying in under the target's radar and carefully manipulating the attraction switches, while relying on your social skills to demonstrate higher value to your target. Generally you show little to no interest at first, and sometimes actively ignore your target while talking to obstacles and bystanders in the set. You will sort of "grow" on your target and be more and more desirable as you get her to chase you. Somewhere along the line, you shift your focus to your target and isolate her, where you play the indirect game until you do ultimately SOI and close her.

Ideally, you mix the two approaches. However, some PUAs have been known to perfect certain techniques and have become experts at using one approach or the other. A couple of good examples are Mystery and Ciaran. Mystery's methods are indirect and revolve around building value and carefully planning each phase of the pickup. Ciaran's famous Apocalypse Opener is as direct as it gets, requiring little planning and lots of balls.

In general, mix and match elements of the two approaches until you find a comfortable balance for yourself. A quick look at Style's approach reveals that he basically took the most successful, potent parts of pickup methods he came across and adapted it to his game. So get out there, talk to girls, and see exactly what works and what doesn't work for you.

So direct/persistence/lots, fast kino escalation/100% eye contact will work if you have muscles you're saying? I'm short....5'7. But all other aspects of me is "manly" ...jacked, strong chin, i have to shave everyday unlike so many of my friends haha...(i dont get it).

Whereas indirect game is best for guys who just have a hard time putting on weight/skinny/metrosexualish/pretty boy(soft features)?

This does seem to make sense. The girls who tend to like me say "i like manly looking men with hair on his chest" kinda deal. And that's always been pretty consistent...that being said would you guys feel i'd be incongruent if i tried to fluff talk and not flat out let my sexual desire be known?
