Hey PUA Universe,

I'd like some book recommendations other than "The Game" (which I'm currently reading) to get an introduction into systems and technologies for pick up.

Also is it necessary to Study under a guru and do workshops? I like the idea of David Deangelos "Cocky funny" approach but I haven't read any of his work. Suggestions would be much appreciated

Stop reading The Game.

Start reading Models (or get his audio version) by Mark Manson. That's the one and only book you need to read.

I read a 1/3 of the game sometime ago and its entertaining, but its not the route you want to take if you're looking for true progress.

I haven't read models, but it is highly recommended. And I'd most certainly put both of my books on that list of places you need to start. The Player Handbook & The Secret Laws of Social Wisdom

All in all though, the book can never teach you what field experience can. You can read about bikes all you like, but until you get out there and actually ride one, you won't know what you're doing. And the best thing about field experience is that its free and can be obtained right now. You put the time and dedication in and you will see the results. You can't exercise daily, eat right, and practice health habits for 6 months and see no results unless you have a physical health issue. And in the same light you can't actively approach women multiple times a week for 6 months and see no results unless you have a emotional or mental health issue. The experience will grant you exactly what the study will.. and more.

i haven't read the game,i read the tao of badass,nothing extra special but it was good from where i started (lowest),i"ve read tons of articles and watched another ton of videos i couldn't even find anymore even if i want to,then i"ve read models,and the last one was the way of the superior man,models trumps them all,so i started reading it again,started going out after some 50 pages of tao and only then i learned something while practicing it

Do the rookie challenge on this forum until you can hold a conversation with a random woman on the street comfortably. Then Google a kino escalation ladder. Master those two and spare yourself the books, workshops and woo.
